STAGE
In 2020, we began the process of adapting the screenplay for Let’s Talk Tacheles to the stage. Matt worked closely with Elisabeth Engstler, whose twenty-year career in theatre includes developing, producing, and directing musical plays (e.g. Beauty and the Beast, Mamma Mia, Hinter dem Horizont, Dirty Dancing.)
Similarly inspired by the project and music, Shay Cohen, the immensely talented musical director of the Theatre des Westens, also joined our team in 2020. Nadja and Shay immersed themselves in the complex process of notating, arranging, and orchestrating all the music and songs.
We completed our first live table read workshop at the Theater des Westens in August 2021. The response was so overwhelmingly positive, we were able to raise additional funds to present our first staged workshop on July 4th, 2022. Inspired by the incredible feedback, we are currently looking for a venue to premiere the show.
